Ultrasound Therapy

High-frequency sound waves penetrate affected areas to reduce inflammation and reduce calcification. It is an ideal treatment for osteoarthritis, bursitis, runner’s knee, tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, sprains and strains. It also treats pain caused by scar tissue and myofascial pain.

Interferential Therapy (IFT/IFC)

Interferential therapy uses pulses of low-frequency electrical current to stimulate nerves and signal the body to release endorphins, “nature’s pain killers.” IFT/IFC reduces the pain in spastic and sensitive muscles, especially in the neck and shoulders.

Diathermy

Diathermy uses deep applications of electrical current to increase blood flow to the treated area and speed the rate of ion diffusion across cellular membranes during metabolism. White blood cells activity in the treated area promotes healing, breaking down fibrous tissues in tendons, joint capsules, and scars. Patients experience deep relaxation and relief from joint stiffness and muscle spasms.

Aquatic Therapy/Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy utilized warm pulsating water to relax spastic muscles and relieve pressure on surrounding nerves.
